Librarian

Hello, my name is Nancy Garza, and I am honored to serve as the librarian at Pioneer High School. I bring 21 years of experience in education, including 12 years in the classroom and 9 years as a librarian. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting students both academically and personally, and I am very excited to be part of the Pioneer family.

As a librarian, my goal is to promote a strong culture of literacy across our campus while creating a welcoming and supportive space for all students. I strive to help students develop a love for reading, strengthen their research and information literacy skills, and help them grow into confident, lifelong learners. In addition, I am committed to supporting college and career readiness by guiding students in accessing resources, exploring opportunities, and building the skills they need for success beyond high school.

I look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and community to make the library a place of inspiration, learning, and opportunity for everyone.
