 Biography:

Corina Cantú is the mariachi director for Sharyland Pioneer High School and Sharyland North Junior High School. Ms. Cantú received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Texas State University and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Previously, Ms. Cantú taught multiple grade levels spanning from kinder through 12th grade in San Antonio and Fort Worth, Texas.  As a professional musician she’s been a member Mariachi Azucenas from the Rio Grande Valley, Mariachi Las Alteñas from San Antonio, TX, and most recently, Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea from Los Angeles, CA.
