Congratulations to the Pioneer Diamondback Band for completing their season at the prestigious UIL Texas State Marching Band Championships in San Antonio at the Alamodome. Out of the 383 5A schools in the state of Texas, the Pioneer High School Band earned the 25th spot!
We would like to take this time to recognize our amazing support from Sharyland ISD Superintendent, Dr. Maria M. Vidaurri, SISD School Board Members and Administration, Pioneer HS Principal, Ms. Julie Carranza and the Pioneer HS Staff.
Thank you to our amazing parent supporters and chaperones who are a major part of our success by volunteering their time for their children and the entire Diamondback Band program.
Special thanks to Sharyland ISD School Board Member, Julio Cerda for assisting the band with props at the UIL Texas State Marching Contest.
A great big “Thank You” to our Director of Bands, Mr. Arnold Salinas for his leadership, dedication, commitment, and expertise to the Pioneer Diamondback Band since the school opened. We could not have asked for a better leader and Director for our band program. We will remember the lessons and skills you have instilled in us always and continue to make you proud. We will miss you and wish you the best as our new Fine Arts Director for Sharyland ISD.
Last but not least, HUGE congratulations goes out to the Pioneer Band students for the countless amount of hours they gave to the program. Their perseverance, dedication, and commitment to the program helps to achieve this goal. You all are truly amazing, exemplary students!
For now, our “Metallic Journey” has come to an end, but it sure has been one to remember forever. Stay tuned as there is still a lot more to come from our Pioneer Diamondback Band program!
