Hello My Name Is...

Marcelino de la Fuente (Coach D)

 As you can see from above my name is Marcelino de la Fuente.  Most of my students call me "Coach D".  This will be my 20th year working for Sharyland ISD.  I spent my first three years at Sharyland North Junior High teaching 8th grade ELA as well as coaching football and track. I then spent the next  ten years teaching all levels of English and Teen Leadership while coaching Football, Track & Field, and Basketball at Sharyland High School.  Currently, I am in my 7th year at Sharyland Pioneer High School teaching English III Honors in the Fall and English 3 AP in the Spring and am the 1st Assistant for YOUR Pioneer Diamondbacks Football team.  I am  also the Head Boys Track & Field Coach.  I graduated from Sharyland High School in 1996 and moved on to receive my college education from the University of Texas Pan American (Go Broncs!). I also hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University (Go Cardinals!).   I am married to a wonderful woman named Kerri de la Fuente and we have three beautiful daughters named Sofia, Cecilia, and Kylee.  Finally, I look forward to this year and all the challenges and uncertainties it brings.
