Overview:
The Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will begin at TBA at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Please allow ample time to arrive by the designated time. The arena will open at TBA for the general public. NO TICKET REQUIRED. Seating is
on a first come, first serve basis. All attendees will undergo a security screening at the main entrance. Inappropriate behavior by a guest will not be tolerated and will be subject to removal.

Student Logistics Information:
Students must report to the arena by TBA and will use the back southwest VIP Entrance to enter the arena. Only students
who have completed all the State and Local Requirements for Graduation will be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Student Guidelines & Procedures:
All students are to adhere to the SISD Student Dress Code Policy. Student attire will be checked before graduation and
those not meeting the dress code will not be permitted to participate in the graduation exercise.In addition, inappropriate behavior by students will not be tolerated and will be subject to removal.
Males must be cleanly shaven and hair must be nicely groomed and presentable. Males should wear collared shirts, a tie,
full-length trousers, and black or brown shoes. Tennis shoes, Crocs, and flip-flop-type sandals are unacceptable for Commencement.
Females’ dress length and style must conform to school policy. Tennis shoes, Crocs, and flip-flop-type sandals are unacceptable for Commencement. Spiked heels are not recommended, but a sturdier heel, wedge, or flat is recommended. Practice walking in your heels.
Wild/brightly colored hair is unacceptable. Visible piercings or tattoos are not permitted.
Caps should be securely placed upon the head with the larger point of the crown to the back. The mortarboard should be level, and the tassels should hang on the right side of the cap until the tassel ceremony. Only flat decorations will be allowed on top of the mortarboard.

NOTE: ONLY DISTRICT ISSUED STOLES, CORDS AND MEDALS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Seniors are to receive diploma covers with the left hand and shake hands with the President of the School Board using the right hand. When receiving the diploma cover, the senior will turn for a photograph before exiting the stage.
Graduation Photos:
No one will be allowed on the arena floor to take pictures during the ceremony. A photographer will take individual pictures of each graduate as they receive their diploma cover. Photographer will also be available immediately following the ceremony to take additional pictures, such as family, friends, etc. The photographer will be present at commencement rehearsal May 24th, to explain the photo packages available. Final Transcripts & Diploma Pick-Up:
As part of your Senior Check-Out List, you will indicate on your clearance form what college/university you would like your final high school transcript sent. A courtesy copy will also be included in your diploma pick-up packet. Diploma pick-up begins TBA, in the Counseling Office. Diplomas will be given only to the student or their parent, an ID is required for pick-up.
