Hello, welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Pioneer High School. My name is Ms. Aracely Garcia and I am here to help any students or parents in the ESL Bilingual Program. As a native Spanish speaker I can understand how difficult it can be to acquire a new language and new concepts at the same time. I grew up in Mission, Texas and went to La Joya ISD's schools through k-12. I have my B.A in English with a minor in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Texas Pan American. I have my M.A in Science in Psychology, and I am currently certified as a principal and TTESS Appraiser. My focus at the time is to help students reach their full educational potential, and support and guide as needed in any courses. I work along with the Federal Programs counselor to help students make the best decisions for their coursework and graduation. I work along with our testing coordinator to ensure students are provided with the needed testing accommodation in the classroom and on EOC and TELPAS Testing. My classroom/office is always open come and see me if I can help you in any way. Room 162 A Wing. It is a privilege to know two languages, and that is something to be proud of. Being bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural gives us an entire new perspective to the world at our fingertips.

About Me- I live in Palmview, TX with my family and my pets. I have 8 cats, and 3 dogs. I enjoy shopping, decorating, and watching TV while lounging with my cats. If I could I would rescue all the homeless cats in the world and the kids living in stressful volatile homes in a happy home together.
